HOLI CELEBRATION

Last monday HOLI celebrated all over...so how Anu could be an exeception ??? But her celebrtation is something HATKE.She celebrated with MISSION ASHRA & Parichay foundation as she called this her second home.Good job Anu.

The event titled Aarya organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations as part of its Horizon series provided a common platform to folk and classical dance repertoires.

The event, in collaboration with the state department of culture and New Delhi-based organisation, Parichay Foundation, took place on 5th march 2014 Wednesday evening at Rabindra Mandap.Where anu was a guest to honour awardee.

Association with Teachaids

Teachaids have been working to develop rich-media applications to promote HIV/AIDS prevention despite numerous social and cultural barriers. TeachAIDS is dedicated to addressing the challenges associated with providing health education through the creation of free, research-based, culturally-appropriate learning materials.Anu Choudhury, has graciously joined TeachAIDS as the voice of the female student in the Odia language version of the software. Choudhury stars alongside legendary Odissi dancer Aruna Mohanty, who plays the female doctor. Together, this dynamite team helps bring HIV education to the millions of individuals who speak Odia.

Dream came true and the most awaited moment came when BABLOO HAPPY HAI released all over india on 7th feb 2014.Directed by another pride of Odisha NILA MADHAB PANDA. This film is all about love,sex,relationship of today's youngsters, and what they think love and sex is in the times of multiplexes and fast cars' and it has a dark subject YES i am talking about AIDS where anu plays a role of a 30+ lady named DEEPA.This character herself is the message of the film as she is full of life inspite of being HIV+ along with her husband/partner who is a HIV+ too played by PARVIN DABAS .Although in a supporting role she left a mark through his performance.I hope after watching it you feel the same.Below is a trailor of this film

How the journey started

  

Well the journey started in early 80s.Yes as a child artist in a song sequence along with veteran Bijay Mohanty.That song is one of the most popular odia film song i.e. ( e jibane mo jibane hasa naahi luha naahi ).she was  5 or 6 years old then.The film was MAMATAA MAAGE MULA . Who knew that one day the little baby will rule ollywood with his beauty & talent .This film was released in 1985 directed by recently JAYADEB award winner Raju Mishra. After 20 years he again directed her in HARIVAAI HAARENAA....in 2005. Her next film as a child artist came after 3 years as BADHU NIRUPAMAA.Where she danced for few seconds.Below i am giving two video clips of the above mentioned films where you can find her.
